Curtain Call
A good cast is worth a second mention.
The Band of Seven
The Band of Seven1 |
Rear: Kyokotsu
Left to Right: Suikotsu, Mukotsu, Jakotsu, Bankotsu, Ginkotsu, Renkotsu
A group of evil human mercenaries from Inuyasha.
Inuyasha's Group
Inuyasha's group Clockwise: Miroku, Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, Shippo, Kilala1 |
The main characters of Inuyasha. Some are human, some half-demon, and some are full demons.
Kikyo1 | Priestess Kaede6 |
Kikyo was a powerful priestess, an expert archer, the older sister of Kaede, a woman who loved Inuyasha, and Kagome's past self. Now her corpse has been reanimated by Urasue and the part of her soul which hid in Kagome resides in it, along with the souls of dead people that her Soul Collectors collect.
If that makes sense to you, then you, like me, have been watching too much Inuyasha.
Upon the death of her older sister Kikyo, Kaede took on the role of priestess. She guards her village, and heals Inuyasha's group when they return to the village.
Inuyasha's Enemies
Naraku1 | Posionous Insects9 |
Naraku, the archnemesis of Inuyasha, is often seen in a baboon skin. He once was an evil bandit who lusted after Kikyo, but he is now something far more sinister.
The saimyosho are poisonous insects used by Naraku, often to retrieve shards of the Shikon Jewel.
Inuyasha's Family
Inutaisho holding an infant Inuyasha1 |
Inutaisho was The Great Dog Demon, Lord of the West, and father to Sesshomaru and Inuyasha.
Yusuke's Group
Clockwise from left: Hiei, Kurama, Kuwabara, Botan, Keiko, Yusuke1 | Shizuru4 | Yukina5 |
A group of humans and demons who are called upon by Spirit World to stop rampaging demons. They're from the series Yu Yu Hakusho.
Genkai5 | Koenma1 | George, Koenma, and Botan4 |
Genkai is Yusuke's trainer and martial arts mentor. In this insane crossover fanfiction, she owns the theater, the setting for our tale.
Koenma rules Spirit World during the absences of his father, King Yama (pronounced Enma.) When Yusuke was Spirit Detective, he reported to Koenma. Botan and George the Ogre still report to Koenma. He also develops a teenage form, which he begins to prefer to his toddler body.
George the Ogre is one of Koenma's most dedicated servants, but he also loves being an announcer and commentator. In this insane crossover fanfiction, I had him man a border control station between the Demon and Human Worlds.
More Yu Yu Hakusho Villains
Elder Toguro5 | Younger Toguro5 |
The Toguro brothers were once humans, but after they won the Dark Tournament with Genkai, they chose to become long-lived demons. Genkai, heartbroken by their choice, devoted the rest of her life to stopping evil demons and promoting understanding between good demons and good humans. The Toguros fought Yusuke Urameshi and his team during the Dark Tournament, and the Elder Toguro later assimilated Gourmet of the Seven Psycho Psychics. Kurama imprisoned the Elder Toguro.
Seven Psycho Psychics
Clockwise from top left: Sensui, Itsuki, Doctor, Gourmet, Sniper, Game Master, Sea Man4,5 |
Formerly a group of evil men gifted with incredible powers, they've now reformed and put their talents to better use. They also hail from the series Yu Yu Hakusho.
Other Yu Yu Hakusho Characters
Yusuke Transformed4 | Yusuke & Raizen1 |
This is Yusuke in his transformed state, his power and hairdo inherited from his hoary ancestor Raizen.
His ancestor Raizen was one of the Three Kings of Demon World, one of the most powerful beings ever.
Bui4 | Shishiwakamaru4 | Eikichi5 |
Bui is a giant demon, who could summon a giant battleaxe at will, and swing it as quickly as a tiny blade. He constantly devoted himself to overcoming the younger Toguro, who had defeated him in a match. Bui opposed Hiei in the Dark Tournament.
Shishiwakamaru, whose name literally translated means "Dear Young Death Death" of all things, is a handsome male demon with legions of demonic admirers. He uses a sword that screams with the souls of dead people. Genkai fought him during the Dark Tournament. Later, he was recruited by Kurama to work for Yomi, one of the Three Kings of Demon World.
Eikichi is Kuwabara's beloved cat. What? What is wrong with a big strong guy having a kitten for a pet? No, I'm just kidding, I think it's funny but touching, too.
King Enki4 | Kaitou5 |
King Enki recently won his crown and absolute power after being victorious in a tournament proposed by Yusuke Urameshi. His first act was to forbid unauthorized travel between Demon and Human Worlds, thus brining an end to demonic criminals harming humans.
Yuu Kaitou was affected by the gate to Demon World which was created by the Seven Psycho Psychics. The gate gave Kaitou the power of Taboo. Kaitou can set a certain word as Taboo within a given radius around him. If anyone speaks the word, he steals their soul. He is a gifted scholar; only Kurama ever gets higher marks than he does. Kurama is quick to point out that Kaitou always has the greater knowledge of culture.
The Suzaku Seven
Clockwise from top left: Chichiri, Chiriko, Mitsukake, Tama, Tasuki, Nuriko, Miaka Yuki, Tamahome, Hotohori2 |
Keisuke1 | Tetsuya1 |
In Fushigi Yugi, the Suzaku Seven were the warriors of Suzaku, sworn to defend the land of Konan, and its emperor Hotohori, and Miaka Yuki, the priestess of Suzaku.
Keisuke Yuki is Miaka's older brother, and Tetsuya is Keisuke's best friend.
The Seiryu Seven
Clockwise from center: Nakago, Tomo, Soi, Ashitare, Amiboshi, Suboshi, Miboshi2 |
Yui1 |
In Fushigi Yugi, these were the evil warriors of Seiryu, sworn to obey Nakago.
Yui is the priestess of Seiryu. She once campaigned with the Seiryu Seven against her best friend Miaka Yuki, and the Suzaku Seven, but now has reestablished her relationship with Miaka.
The Byakko Seven
Tokaki2 |
Tokaki is one of the seven warriors of Genbu, whose priestess arrived in "The Book of the Universe of the Four Gods" many years before Miaka and Yui. In his retirement, he trained Tamahome of the Suzaku Seven, and married Subaru of the Byakko Seven.
Major Powers in Fushigi Yugi
Taiitsukun8 | Suzaku the Beast God1 |
Taiitsukun is the controller of the world contained in "The Book of the Universe of the Four Gods" in Fushigi Yugi. Her control is not absolute, though; the four gods themselves, and their priestesses and warriors have a lot of say in what goes on, and Taiitsukun is said to have an opposite. She is crabby but a powerful force to have on one's side. Chichiri of the Suzaku Seven was her disciple, and she gave the Suzaku Seven magical items to help them (except Tamahome because he insulted her.) Are you still reading this bio? Kudos for your dedication!
Suzaku the Beast god is the patron of Konan, the empire which Hotohori of the Suzaku Seven rules. Suzaku drew Miaka into "The Book of the Universe of the Four Gods" to be his priestess- which works out for him, 'cuz he gets to make Miaka save his empire, and if Miaka's will isn't strong enough after she's saved the empire, he gets to devour her whole. So basically it's a no-lose deal for Suzaku. (Maybe I should clean up this bio for more professionalism. Ah, whatever.)
A Fistful of Suzakus
Suzaku of Inuyasha7 | Suzaku of Maze Castle4 | Suzaku the Beast God1 |
In the Inuyasha series, Suzaku is either the demon pictured on the left, who nearly killed Kagome and a young man named Hojo, or a similar ninja demon from Horai Island (in the fourth movie). Both in the series and the movie, Suzaku was part of a foursome of demons, the other three being Seiryu, Genbu, and Byakko, although their appearances, characteristics, and backstories were different between the series and the movie; they are two sets of different characters.
Suzaku of Maze Castle was one of Yusuke Urameshi's first major opponents. He and yet another foursome of demons named Seiryu, Genbu, and Byakko hated humans so much that they used a Makai whistle to mind control humans into destroying their world. When Yusuke and his friends broke into Maze Castle to stop them, they mind controlled teachers at Keiko's school, who attempted to take Keiko and Botan hostage.
Suzaku the Beast god is from the series Fushigi Yugi. As you may have guessed, he's also part of a set of four, the other members of whom are Seiryu, Genbu, and Byakko. Each is the patron of a different empire, and they are not always on friendly terms with one another. They each have seven warriors, to whom they give superpowers, and these warriors are supposed to aid the priestess of their respective beast god. As I mentioned in the Major Powers section, the Beast God then kicks back while the warriors and priestess fight for him and win him honor. At the end he gets to eat the priestess and enjoy his newly expanded empire. Great work if you can get it.
Those Cute Little Animals
Frog10 | Puppy11 |
This is a cute little frog, isn't he? Genkai demands that Mukotsu of the Band of Seven imitate a frog as a penalty for attacking the audience.
Awww, what cute widdle puppy! (Translation: What a cute little puppy!) He's so cute! Ashitare transforms into a puppy as his penalty for biting Doctor.
Fanwolf12 | Fanwolf12 |
These are Ashitare's fans, who, in this insane crossover, gained the power to transform themselves into large wolves, just like Ashitare can. What? You say that Ashitare doesn't have any fans? That's so mean! I mean, Nakago went and tortured the guy all the time! And Ashitare still brought him back the Shinzaho! And did Nakago say thank you? No, he went and killed him! That's so wrong! (ranting and raving continues for several minutes.)
